26 May 2016 By PDSNETThe National Credit Act does not allow financial institutions to lend money to people who cannot afford to repay it. Under the Act, the financial institution must ensure that the borrower has sufficient income and resources to effect repayment. Failure to do so can result in the institution being unable to recover its debt.
