STOCKBROKER

31 May 2016 By PDSNET

A member of the stock exchange who has passed the required exams and been accepted by the stock exchange. All the transactions done on the JSE must go through a registered stockbroker. These days most stockbrokers offer their clients an online trading platform where they can execute their trades and monitor their portfolio directly over the internet. It is no longer necessary to phone your stockbroker to put through a deal - but you still have to have a stockbroking account which requires you to sign a "mandate" with a registered stockbroker.
