SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE INDEX
31 May 2016 By PDSNETThis index includes all companies that care about the environment and that look after the communities where they are located. The problem is that some big companies like Sasol which produce plenty of pollutants are part of the index. The Government Pension Fund which owns about 12,5% of the entire JSE has said it will not invest in companies which are not socially responsible.
